interview with Mike

Mike Delaitre comes originally from the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius. He both composes and performs music, and has experience of working with vulnerable children and young people, using music as a way to guide and educate young people and children, about the value and importance of their community and their environment.

Mike now lives in Fife, Scotland. I asked Mike a couple of questions...

Q: what is the philospohy that guides your life?

Mike: the rastafari philosophy. It is a spiritual way of living where love, peace and unity are the tools that the rasta use in their life. If you ask why I chose this way of living I would say that it chose me, both spiritually and musically to be a messenger.

Q: tell us about your music?

Mike: I believe that my music brings the rainbow colours to people. Music is my life and most of my songs come from the experiences that I have in life.
